Middle East Facility Launches New Product Line

On May 3, the condensing unit facility in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) officialy launched the assembly of hermetic reciprocating condensing units. This new model line of hermetic units will enhance the semi-hermetic models in production.

The Dubai facility will assemble the condensing units; the parts are shipped from two different Copeland facilities in the United States. The Hartselle plant provides the compressors, while all other parts come from the condensing unit division located in Sidney, Ohio.

Pratap Chavan, Vice President and managing director for Emerson Climate Technologies Middle East/Africa, which is headquartered in Dubai, said the addition of hermetic condensing units to the plant's product line will help meeting the refrigeration market's needs in the Middle East Africa.

"With the enhanced model range of condensing units, we will be offering the growing refrigeration markets in the Middle East a more complete solution for various refrigeration applications, in addition to offering local service, local lead-times and local deliveries. Our customers have come to expect a better service from our local plant and now we enhance the portfolio for our customers." Pratap said.
